I keep seeing these coats all over my Insta/Pinterest feed, and I can't get enough. I love everything about them. The faux fur. The length. The colors. I am in love and have been renting similar styles from Rent the Runway so that I can partake in this jaw-dropping winter trend. Are they here to stay?
This trend started becoming popular during the fall, and while I was hesitant at first, I eventually hopped on it. I got my grey sweater vest from Goodwill and have had much fun styling it throughout the seasons. I think this trend is here to stay; it is so versatile from summer to winter, making it a great wardrobe staple. I love seeing so many fashionista's cute stylings of the sweater vest trend. Mine are from Poppy Lissiman, and I have never felt cooler wearing a pair of sunglasses. I am really not even a big eye-wear kind of gal, but I have made an exception for these trendy little glasses. All summer, I kept seeing influencers wearing this style of see-through-sunglasses and wouldn't shut up about how much I LOVED them. Then my boyfriend surprised me with my own pair for Christmas (we love a stylish BF, am I right?) Side note: You may question these sunnies' function of blocking out the sun since their tint is so light, but let me assure you, they work surprisingly well. Itty-Bitty Knit Tops
Simply, adorable
So versatile and cute, little knit tops are one of my favorite trends going on right now. What can I say...I'm a sucker for a boho-chic look. When shopping for the perfect knit top, I recommend steering clear of anything too bright and neon and sticking to more neutral, earthy tones. The fun thing about this trend is you can style it down for a lounge-y vibe or make it a fun going out piece; either way, you'll be cozy & stylish. What goes around always comes back around, and ladies and gentlemen, '70s fashion is back and better than ever. I am seeing this trend everywhere right now, from small boutiques to fast-fashion empires, the psychedelic prints are all the rage. Keep in mind, a great way to participate and make this look your own is to hit up your local thrift shop! Not only will you be reducing your carbon footprint but also reducing your chances of intentional "twinning." Why is brown so underrated, anyway?
It's time for the color brown to make its way out of the shadows and into your wardrobe. Why is this color always on the back burner when it comes to neutrals? Like, hellooo, look how gorgeous these monochromatic looks are. Brown is such a great color in fashion because there are so many shades to play around with when styling. I challenge you: instead of opting for that all-black ensemble that we have all been wearing over and over again, step out in brown instead. So elegant yet so sexy, I am obsessed. The most gorgeous corsets have been popping up on my Insta explore page recently, and I think it's a sign I need to cop. The girls pictured have styled them down for a sleek, cool-girl vibe, which is definitely how I would do it. I will say, this trend is a little more difficult for those with a larger bust but certainly not impossible ladies!! If that speaks to you, try looking for a more supportive version of this trend, or opt for an underbust bustier instead of the full-on corset. Practical? Yes. Adorable? Even more yes! I thrifted my "shacket" while in Palm Springs, and I have been wearing it all fall/winter. It is so cozy and easy to throw on and just go. It's the perfect look for a coffee run, walk to the park, trader joes adventure- you get the gist. The great thing about the shacket is that you can get super creative with layering, making it the ideal winter wardrobe piece. It may just be me getting influenced by all of the powerful women in politics today, but I am lovingggg the pantsuit recently. There are a million different ways to play with this classic look, and I can't wait to put my own spin on it. There is something about that matching blazer with the trouser pant that just screams powerful.
