RTR: January Virtual Styling

Updated: Mar 4, 2021

If you follow me on Instagram, you probably already know that I am a proud Rent The Runway ambassador. I have been a member of the designer rental company for about a year now, and with each shipment, I get more and more obsessed. My RTR membership is such a great way for me to: 1. save money, 2. constantly have the cutest clothes, and 3. be more sustainable with my fashion choices. My January discount code is RTRELIZABETHC, which gives you 40% off 2 months of RTR's 8 and 16 item plans. These are some looks I have styled for the month of January using items from RTR (except the shoes, they are all from FarFetch). I hope you get some inspo from these looks and use my code to start renting yourself!

A Trendy NYE Moment

Mixing leather + sparkle

For this look, I have paired the beautiful La Villette Mini Dress from For Love & Lemons with the Black Faux Leather Jacket Trench Coat from Love, Whit by Whitney Port, to create a fun and bada** New Year's Eve look. For the accessories, I thought The Black Box 23 Bag from Marc Jacobs paired perfectly with the Reston Earrings from Dannijo, adding to the outfit's cool-girl vibe. To bring it all together, the Fendi boots from FarFetch continue to serve effortlessly cool vibes instead of being uncomfortable in heels all night.

Last Minute Brunch Fit

Who said you can't be cute & comfy?

If you're like me, then brunch is a weekly staple for you and your girlfriends, and let's be real, we don't always feel like spending hours doing ourselves up just to get drunk off of bottomless mimosas and eat avocado toast. This look will make you appear that you have your sh*t together, even when you don't. I paired the fabulous Freddie Faux Sherling Coat from ASTR with Stine Goya's Carlo Sweater to add color, texture, and warmth to this look. The Zephyr Riley Jeans from Agolde are a perfect everyday jean and give this outfit a casual vibe. Of course, sunglasses are a necessity for day drinking, and these Tortoiseshell Effect Round Sunglasses from Stella McCartney pair perfectly with the Brown Faux Croc Rey Bag from Staud. Lastly, to tie the outfit together, I added these adorable Golden Goose hightop sneakers from FarFetch.

Après Ski Chic

Keeping it stylish on & off the slopes

Layering, layering, layering; it keeps you looking chic and, more importantly, warm while on your winter adventures. The Leander Puffer Jacket from Club Monaco is the perfect outerwear for on and off the slopes. It pairs beautifully with the Black Resin Crop Slim Wide Leg Jeans from Askk Ny and the Stella McCartney chunky chelsea boots from FarFetch. The Proenza Schouler White Label Check Print Long Sleeve Turtleneck is the perfect base-layering piece. I have paired it with the As If Top from Unfortunate Portrait to make the outfit a little more youthful and casual. I wanted to play around with the teal color within the turtleneck for the accessories, so I added the Jade Iemall Sunglasses from Grey Ant and the Mint Doris Bag from Yuzefi.

An Oyster Roast Ensemble

Bushels and bushels of style

Levi's Black Loose Overalls are the perfect casually dapper outfit for a southern winter event such as an Oyster Roast. I have paired it with the Jane Cropped Turtleneck from Sid Neigum and the Proenza Schouler Chelsea boots from FarFetch to add contrast to the black overalls and add dimension to the look altogether. The Tory Burch Kira Shoulder Bag adds a marvelous pop of color to the B&W look. Lastly, the Black Bishop Sunglasses by Karen Walker complete the look perfectly.

I hope you enjoyed this virtual styling post and if you have any recommendations or requests for the next one please let me know!

XoXo,
